Awaiting Something (Niccolo Maccaferri)
Step into my world and join me on an intimate journey through the five stages of grief, post-breakup. Featuring original songs from my upcoming album “Awaiting Something” and covers that have been my emotional lifelines, the show traces the path of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. This is how the power of music helped me find beauty in vulnerability and strength.
Niccolo Maccaferri
Born on June 5th, 2000, Niccolo Maccaferri is a 24-year-old singer/songwriter and actor from Italy who moved to Edinburgh in 2019 to study Drama and Performance, and then to London in 2023 to pursue his passion for Musical Theatre, attending the leading drama school Associated Studios: Dramatic Arts Academy. Niccolo has been writing his own music from a young age. In 2022, he released his debut album “Songs to be Sung”. With this project he had the urge to represent the infinite strength that we can find within ourselves when everything seems to fall apart. He is currently working on his second original album “Awaiting Something”, alongside auditioning for west end musicals. The sound behind these projects, inspired by his favorite singers such as Lea Michele, Barbra Streisand and Jeremy Jordan, strives to combine the sounds of pop and broadway. Niccolo wants to thank Associated Studios, and his agency Shane Collins Associates.
Lost in Translation (Tara Wilkes)
Join me on my journey so far navigating a world where words and their meanings are sometimes out of reach, through a night of musical misadventures and comedic confusions. From ever changing languages, cultures, and environments, I have a thing or two to say about the scenarios that have manifested from them! Prepare to be delighted, bemused, and pleasantly surprised, and celebrate with me the beautiful chaos of being “Lost in Translation.”
Tara Wilkes
Tara Wilkes is a 24-year-old musical theatre performer, although this has not always been the case. Her background varies from 12 years experience as a World Championship level Irish Dancer, to finishing a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Linguistics from the University of York in 2022. Following on from this experience, she was inspired to write her cabaret based on navigating the world as a bilingual in her 20s who is constantly changing locations and environments. Her inspirations range all the way from Edith Piaf to Jason Robert-Brown, and she hopes to share her unique journey with those closest to her as well as a wider audience. Tara would like to thank her incredibly supportive family, especially her father Russell Wilkes. She would equally like to thank the staff and her fellow students at Associated Studios for their continued support and encouragement over the last year.
