Introducing Ruby and the Dukes: A Vintage 1950’s R&B, RocknRoll, Blues, Rockabilly, and Retro Swing Band!

Based in the heart of London, Ruby and the Dukes are a musical force that transports audiences back to the golden era of the 1940s and 1950s. Led by the captivating vintage singer, Ruby, the band offers a powerfully electric performance that ignites the stage with their authentic and soulful renditions of classic hits.
The band’s main lineup comprises a talented ensemble, including a skilled double bassist, a masterful saxophonist, a grooving drummer, and a versatile guitarist. Their combined energy and enthusiasm bring a unique flavor to their musical projects, creating a dynamic sound that captures the essence of the era.

Line Up

Originally hailing from Florida, Ruby is the heart and soul of the band. With a profound love for vintage fashion and the music of the 40s and 50s, she delivers an electrifying performance that resonates with the audience, showcasing her passion for this cherished musical period.

Double Bass – Jonny Gee:
One of the UK’s most versatile double bassists, Jonny Gee’s exceptional skills add depth and rhythm to the band’s vintage sound. Having collaborated with renowned artists and groups worldwide, his contributions to the music elevate the band’s performance to new heights.

Saxophone – Lynne Walker:
Prepare to be blown away by the remarkable saxophone melodies of Lynne Walker. An incredibly talented session musician, Lynne has worked with an impressive array of artists, bringing her exceptional artistry to Ruby and the Dukes, adding a touch of brilliance to their ensemble.

Drums – Graham Cuttill:
East London-born Graham Cuttill has been a driving force on drums since 1979. His rhythmic expertise and diverse experience shine through in every beat, having recorded and performed with legendary names like Edwin Starr, Alexander O’Neal, and The Foundations.

Guitar – Chris Thorn:
The founder of Ruby and the Dukes, Chris Thorn’s guitar-playing prowess has spanned over three decades. With a rich history in the live acid jazz scene of the ’90s and various musical projects, his guitar skills lend an authentic touch to the band’s vintage sound.
