Mark your calendar each month as Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club transforms into a vibrant celebration of funk, soul and groove. From the timeless sounds of James Brown and Prince to modern hits from Bruno Mars, this electrifying jam session brings the full spectrum of funk to life.
Our top-tier house band kicks off the evening with a high-energy opening set before opening the stage to guest musicians, singers and dancers. Whether you’re stepping up to perform or just soaking up the atmosphere, expect infectious rhythms, spontaneous moments and a dancefloor-ready vibe all night long.
Hosted by London Funk Network
Led by bandleader Troy Jackson, London Funk Network brings together some of London’s finest funk players for a night of tight rhythms, soulful grooves and explosive live energy. With a shared passion for funk, soul and improvisation, they create the perfect platform for musicians to connect, collaborate and bring the groove to life on stage.
How to join the jam
- Pick up a Musician ticket online or on the door (free with bar purchase).
- Sign up with the host: list your instrument/vocal range and preferred tunes/keys.
- Keep it tight: lock into the groove, listen, and support the band.
- Funk, soul and groove classics encouraged.
Backline & Setup
- Backline: House kit, guitar amp, bass amp, piano, PA & three vocal mics provided
- Bring: sticks, cymbals, guitars, horns

Can beginners join?
Absolutely, this is a welcoming jam, and we’ll make sure everyone gets a chance to shine.
Do I need to prepare tunes?
Suggested, but not essential. If you call a tune, be ready to lead it.
Is there space to dance?
Yes and we encourage it. Please be mindful of musicians and staff when moving through the room.

Musicians are FREE: Just buy a drink and join the jam.
Audience are £12: Sit back, dance and just enjoy the atmosphere.
100% of the ticket sales goes directly to the house band. By supporting this Jam Session you are supporting a community of musicians.
