Saxophonist Brandon Allen and guitarist Tom Ollendorff join forces for a dynamic new quartet celebrating the rich lineage of guitar and saxophone interplay in modern jazz.
Inspired by the music of John Scofield, Pat Metheny and Pat Martino, the group explores the lyricism, fire and harmonic depth that have defined these iconic composers and improvisers.
Allen’s warm, full-bodied tenor sound meets Ollendorff’s fluid, melodic guitar style, creating a conversational ensemble dynamic full of intricate lines, expressive phrasing and thoughtful improvisation. About the Artists
Brandon Allen
One of the most respected tenor saxophonists on the UK jazz scene, Brandon Allen is renowned for his powerful sound, inventive improvisation and commanding live performances. Originally from Australia and now based in London, he has established himself as a leading voice in contemporary jazz, performing extensively throughout Europe and beyond.
Allen has collaborated with an impressive range of artists including Eric Clapton, Paloma Faith, Kyle Eastwood and Joan Armatrading, while also leading his own critically acclaimed projects. Equally at home in straight-ahead jazz, funk, blues and contemporary settings, his playing combines technical brilliance with a deep sense of swing and melodic storytelling.
Tom Ollendorff
Widely regarded as one of the most exciting guitarists of his generation, Tom Ollendorff has earned international recognition for his lyrical approach, sophisticated harmonic language and distinctive compositional voice. A graduate of Guildhall School of Music & Drama, he has rapidly become a sought-after performer on the European jazz circuit.
Ollendorff has performed with leading figures including Chris Potter, Ben Wendel and Aaron Parks. His acclaimed recordings and live performances showcase a unique blend of technical mastery, melodic clarity and contemporary creativity. Combining virtuosity with sensitivity, he brings a fresh perspective to the modern jazz guitar tradition while remaining deeply connected to its roots.
