Rising American trumpeter Summer Camargo brings her trio to Toulouse Lautrec for an evening of swinging original compositions, timeless jazz standards and joyful improvisation.

Travelling from New York City, Summer presents music from her acclaimed debut album, To Whom I Love, a deeply personal collection shaped by heartfelt storytelling, memorable melodies and a love of the jazz tradition.

Expect expressive trumpet playing, captivating musical conversations and a vibrant performance from one of the most exciting young artists emerging from New York’s celebrated jazz scene.

About Summer Camargo

Summer Camargo is an award-winning jazz trumpeter, composer and bandleader recognised by DownBeat magazine as one of its “25 for the Future” rising jazz stars.

Originally from Hollywood, Florida, she studied at The Juilliard School as a Jerome Greene Fellowship recipient, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She is now a regular performer at leading New York jazz venues including Dizzy’s Club and Birdland, and performs as a member of the renowned Mingus Big Band.

In 2022, Summer became the youngest member of the Saturday Night Live house band. She has since joined the band for the Broadway musical Just in Time.

Her growing list of achievements includes touring with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, performing alongside Jon Batiste at the Newport Jazz Festival and appearing as a guest artist at Wynton at 60.

Summer released her debut album, To Whom I Love, through Blue Engine Records in March 2024. The album received praise from DownBeat and was featured in the magazine’s Hot Box review section. She is also a proud Conn Selmer/Bach artist.
