Joined by Duncan Eagles on saxophone and Luiz Morais on guitar, Yuko brings her exquisitely individual touch to the rich traditions of Brazilian and contemporary jazz. Expect delicate interplay, captivating rhythms and beautifully nuanced interpretations, presented with the stripped-back intimacy of voice, saxophone and guitar.

About Yuko Yokoi

Yuko Yokoi is a London-based singer specialising in jazz and Brazilian music.

Her debut Brazilian jazz album, Verde, was released in January 2018 and followed by a successful tour across Brazil, Japan and the UK. The album expresses her love of Brazilian and contemporary jazz through a minimalist sound rich in improvisation, light, colour and musical nuance.

Yuko has performed at renowned festivals and venues including the EFG London Jazz Festival, Hyper Japan at Olympia London, PizzaExpress Jazz Club Soho, the 606 Club, Crazy Coqs, The Vortex, The Pheasantry and The Spice of Life. Her international appearances include the legendary Beco das Garrafas in Rio de Janeiro and JazzB in São Paulo.
