Robin Phillips is a singer, pianist, bandleader, presenter, producer and educator whose career reflects a deep passion for jazz, swing and musical storytelling. Known for his charismatic stage presence and versatile musicianship, Robin has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most engaging contemporary jazz performers.
A regular collaborator and featured artist at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club, Robin has brought a variety of projects to the venue, ranging from intimate jazz performances to large-scale swing productions. He notably showcased his acclaimed album and documentary Return To The Source at Toulouse Lautrec during the EFG London Jazz Festival 2025, further cementing his connection with the club and its audiences.
Robin is the arranger and bandleader behind Pinstripe Suit, the acclaimed speakeasy swing band that has held a long-running residency at London’s legendary Nightjar venues for more than a decade. Blending vintage jazz aesthetics with contemporary flair, the group has become synonymous with sophisticated live swing music in London.
Beyond the stage, Robin has also made his mark as a broadcaster and educator. Following his presenting debut in Back To The Source, he went on to produce and host over 100 hours of jazz programming for The Jazz Show With Robin Phillips on Delux Radio during lockdown, championing jazz history, emerging talent and the wider music community.
As a teacher, mentor and producer, Robin works with musicians of all ages in voice, piano, jazz harmony, music technology and ensemble performance, while also producing artists in his own recording studio. Alongside his own creative projects, he has worked as a session musician and composer with artists including globally recognised jazz-house phenomenon Berlioz.
