About The Benedict Brothers
Freddie Benedict is a jazz vocalist and trumpeter whose background spans jazz, classical music and a cappella singing. He spent ten years as lead male vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, developing a style influenced by Chet Baker, Nat King Cole and Mel Tormé. His performances combine Great American Songbook standards with his own original music. Freddie studied classical singing and trumpet at the Katarina Gurska Conservatoire in Madrid before completing a master’s in jazz singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His performance credits include Ronnie Scott’s, Crazy Coqs and the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, where he performed the music of Henry Mancini.
Leo Benedict, is a South London actor and singer whose career has taken him from international theatre tours to London’s jazz and cabaret stages. His theatre work includes French and English-language productions of Le Petit Prince, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet, including a world tour playing Romeo. As a vocalist, Leo has performed at Crazy Coqs, Hampstead Jazz Club and Toulouse Lautrec. His repertoire reaches across jazz standards, bossa nova, French chanson and Neapolitan song, bringing his experience as an actor to music with a strong sense of character and storytelling.
