About Dylan Jones
A distinctive voice on the contemporary UK jazz scene, Dylan Jones is a London-based trumpeter, composer and bandleader with deep roots in the city’s new wave of jazz. An original member of Ezra Collective and a musician shaped by Tomorrow’s Warriors, he has been part of the creative circles behind projects including Moses Boyd Exodus and PYJÆN. His playing combines lyrical trumpet lines, groove-led improvisation and the rhythmic energy of London jazz, drawing on jazz, Afrobeat, hip-hop and soul influences. With his debut album Statue, Jones steps forward as an artist in his own right, bringing a fresh and expressive voice to British jazz.
