About Ashley Pezzotti

Ashley Pezzotti is an American jazz vocalist, composer and educator celebrated for her rich, silky tone and masterful improvisational skills. Influenced by her Dominican heritage, she incorporates her cultural roots into her artistry through original compositions in both English and Spanish.

A graduate of the prestigious Frost School of Music, Pezzotti further developed her craft through the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead programme at the Kennedy Center. Her 2019 debut album, We’ve Only Just Begun, showcases her deep respect for the jazz tradition alongside an impressive collection of bebop-inspired original compositions.

Her exceptional vocal technique and horn-like scatting caught the attention of Wynton Marsalis, leading to regular collaborations and featured recordings with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, including The Ever Fonky Lowdown. She has performed alongside artists including Arturo Sandoval and appeared at internationally renowned venues and festivals such as Birdland, Dizzy’s Club, the London Jazz Festival and Stockholm Concert Hall.
