One of Europe’s leading exponents of New Orleans rhythm and blues, pianist Dom Pipkin brings the unmistakable spirit of the Big Easy to Toulouse Lautrec with his powerhouse band, The Ikos.

Breathing fresh life into the music of Dr John, The Meters, Fats Domino and Professor Longhair, the band combines driving piano, infectious rhythms and rich harmonies. Blending blues, gospel, street funk, jazz and soul, Dom Pipkin and The Ikos deliver an uplifting, rhythm-driven celebration of New Orleans music.

About Dom Pipkin

Described by Blues in Britain as “one of the world’s greatest exponents of New Orleans piano”, Dom Pipkin has spent nearly three decades performing across the international blues and boogie-woogie circuit.

A regular visitor and performer in New Orleans, he has appeared at the city’s celebrated Piano Night and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, sharing stages with legends including Allen Toussaint, Dr John and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. His playing also explores the distinctive style of James Booker, blending driving blues with expressive classical flourishes.

Alongside his own music, Dom has worked with an extraordinary range of artists, including Paloma Faith, Morcheeba, Paul Weller, Ray Davies, Laura Mvula, Pee Wee Ellis and David Byrne. His screen appearances include Netflix thriller Black Doves, A Thousand Blows and a Rimowa campaign featuring K-pop star Jay Chou.
