Hot Club swing with a daring modern twist
Join Fidelio Hot Club for a special performance celebrating the release of their debut EP as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2026.
Expect the infectious swing and virtuosity of 1930s Hot Club jazz, brought to life with warmth, spontaneity and a distinctly contemporary spirit. Alongside music by Django Reinhardt, the quartet will perform original compositions and inventive arrangements of works by Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla and David Bowie.
Rooted in tradition but never constrained by it, Fidelio Hot Club promises an exhilarating evening of dazzling musicianship, imaginative interpretations and plenty of surprises.
About Fidelio Hot Club
Fidelio Hot Club are one of the UK’s leading gypsy jazz quartets, bringing together four sought-after musicians from the London jazz scene: violinist and vocalist Ray Rafols, guitarists Sol Grimshaw and Cornelius Corkery, and double bassist Toby Yapp.
Inspired by the celebrated partnership of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, the group has developed a characterful sound that honours the foundations of gypsy jazz while exploring a much broader musical landscape.
The release of their first EP follows a successful year of touring, live broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and a popular monthly residency at Fidelio Café in Clerkenwell.
