Paris-born, London-based jazz and blues singer, songwriter and harmonica player Florence Joelle comes to Toulouse Lautrec on Saturday 18 July with her rhythm & blues quartet for a groovy, hip-shaking and finger-snapping live show.

Blending vintage rhythm & blues, classic jazz, gypsy folk, Latin grooves and Parisian torch songs, Florence brings a sound that feels both timeless and entirely her own. With her unmistakable voice, harmonica playing and French twist, expect an evening full of swing, soul, character and charm.

About Florence Joelle

Florence Joelle is a favourite on the London live music scene, known for creating her own distinctive Franco-Anglo sound. Raised on jazz at home and the music of the Paris streets, her music moves between Latin and classic jazz, vintage and contemporary blues, fifties R&B, gypsy folk and chanson.

Her releases include Kiss of Fire, Stealing Flowers and Life Is Beautiful, with her most recent collaborations alongside modernist bluesmen Tiny Flaws, including the 2024 EP More Flaws and the 2025 album Bakerlooville. Their song That Summer has received airplay on the BBC, Acid Jazz’s Totally Wired radio station and more.

Florence has been featured in Mojo, Time Out, Q Magazine, The Independent, The Mirror, Record Collector, Jazzwise, Jazz Journal and Vintage Guitar Magazine, with radio play across BBC Radio, Jazz FM and stations around the world.

Alongside her work as a performer, Florence is also a record collector, compiler and catalogue consultant, having worked on reissues and curated releases connected to artists including John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Stan Getz, Lee Morgan, Miles Davis and Count Basie.
