About the Artists

Originally a trumpet scholar at the Royal College of Music, Karl Charity spent years performing in West End productions including Ain’t Misbehavin’, Five Guys Named Mo, Sophisticated Ladies and Soul Sister. He has performed with the Joe Loss Big Band and UB40, before inevitably finding his home in jazz.Having appeared at leading venues across London, including Toulouse Lautrec, and at festivals throughout Europe and South America, Karl has also shared the stage with artists such as Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw, Tina May, Derek Nash, Renato D’Aiello, Kitty La Roar and Nick Shankland.

Sarah Bolter (saxes, clarinet, flute, vocals) began gigging professionally at just 13 and has since become one of the UK’s most in-demand jazz musicians. She leads two of her own bands, has produced six albums, and regularly tours across the UK and Europe. Her career includes collaborations spanning Bowie, Cher, Rat Pack, ABBA, Meat Loaf and major big bands. Sarah has a particular love for intimate jazz clubs and is delighted to return to Toulouse Lautrec.
