Pere Bujosa Trio

Double bassist Pere Bujosa and his trio, featuring Diego Hervalejo on piano and Lluis Naval on drums, present music from Illes Sonores, Vol. 1, blending Balearic musical traditions with contemporary jazz.

Balearic roots, contemporary jazz and rhythmic exploration

Pere Bujosa Trio brings the sounds of the Balearic Islands into conversation with contemporary jazz, presenting music from the double bassist and composer’s new album, Illes Sonores, Vol. 1.

Joining Bujosa are pianist Diego Hervalejo and drummer Lluis Naval. Together, they explore the possibilities of the classic piano, double bass and drums line-up through layered rhythms, folk influences and free improvisation.

The project combines polyrhythmic textures, influences from Balearic folk traditions, modern jazz, electronics, and free improvisation, creating an immersive sound that moves between tradition and experimentation.
