Led by brothers Ben and Emile Martyn, The Fallen Heroes combine the sounds of Charles Street, NOLA with the attitude and character of Camden Town, London. Having spent their formative years immersed in the legendary New Orleans jazz scene, the Martyn brothers grew up surrounded by some of the finest musicians in the tradition, thanks to their father, jazz drummer, producer and New Orleans music historian Barry Martyn.

Their music carries the warmth, swing and street-party spirit of New Orleans, but with a fresh London twist. Expect catchy original tunes, joyful rhythms, heart-warming melodies, a dash of ska, and plenty of that unmistakable second-line feel. Let the band transport you from South London to the streets of the Crescent City.

Led by brothers Ben and Emile Martyn, The Fallen Heroes combine the sounds of Charles Street, New Orleans with the attitude and character of Camden Town, London.

The Martyn brothers were immersed in the legendary New Orleans jazz scene from a young age, thanks to their father, jazz drummer and producer Barry Martyn, whose love for the music saw him tour, record and work with some of the finest names in the tradition. Over the years, the family were lucky enough to meet and study with musicians including George Lewis, John Handy and Harold Dejan of the world-famous Olympia Brass Band.

Their love for the Crescent City runs through everything they do, blending New Orleans rhythm and blues with jazz, ska and original song-writing to create a live show full of warmth, humour and feel-good energy.
