For his first time playing at the Toulouse-Lautrec, on June 23rd, neacko will play songs from the album he has just finished recording, in an intimate set-up where he will perform on guitar and voice, accompanied by Maddy Hamilton (cello – vocals). Maddy is a recognised cellist in London who has performed with many well-known artists and musicians, most recently with Grammy award winning artist Laufey at the Royal Albert Hall.
The songs in this programme are all cover songs which have formed part of the soundtrack to neacko’s life over the past two decades.
On this record, neacko has revisited these songs with an indie-folk sound, crafted around acoustic guitar and voice, on a bed of natural drums and surrounded by strings (violins, viola and cello).
Songs are in English and French and include covers from a variety of artists including Renaud, Lewis Capaldi, Tété, Ray Lamontagne, Chris Isaak and AaRON.
