Leo Benedict & Friends: Songs of Romeo

Leo Benedict: Songs of Romeo

Leopold Benedict returns to Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club for his debut solo main show this August. Fresh from his World Shakespeare Tour playing Romeo, the South London actor-singer will be joined by a stellar set of Toulouse Lautrec regulars Chris Bland, Jess Bullen, Luke Fowler, Kieran Gunter, and Floyer Sydenham to perform songs of love and adventure from around the globe.

The night will feature French Café, Latino Groove, Bossa Nova, and some revamped modern classics, as he sings songs for you in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. And a few special guests may appear… Leo trained as an actor both at RADA, and The French National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Paris, where he was coached in French cabaret by the legendary singer, Charles Aznavour.

Since graduating, he has performed in French and English-speaking theatre productions of Le Petit PrinceMacbeth, and Romeo & Juliet in Austria, Belgium, Costa Rica, the Channel Islands, Chile, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Isle of Man, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, San Salvador, Spain, and Switzerland (to name a few…). Catch him for a musical evening of world song at Toulouse Lautrec on August 13th at 18:00, before he heads on his upcoming tour of Scandinavia.

« Il respire la classe brittanique, le charme américain, et il a le cœur français. Il est fait pour chanter sur les planches. »
