Seán Finn and the Late Bloomers celebrate the launch of their new single ‘Damaged Goods’ with support by Ciara McGovern
Seán Finn and the Late Bloomers invite you to an evening of novel song writing, endearing showmanship and heartfelt performances. Taking place in the starry attic of Toulouse Lautrec, the group celebrate the launch of their new single ‘Damaged Goods’ on the 16th of June. Showcasing new music from their forthcoming project and beyond, the Late Bloomers will whisk you away for the night.
Helmed by the crooning front man Seán Finn, the group are known for their vibrant musicality and quirky stage antics. With the material written by Seán himself, he is classically trained on piano, with a penchant for simple yet effective harmonic structures and tuneful melodies. Either strumming guitar or playing piano, Seán is known for his heartfelt performances and warm stage persona. The rhythm section is held together by a tight-knit duo of Ben Cofrield on kit and Schindler Brown on bass. With a flare for funk, the duo keep things lively throughout the night. Finally, multi-instrumentalist Lawrence Penman decorates the compositions with delicate guitar lines and funky piano. Together, the Late Bloomers offer a performance that you won’t forget any time soon.
Supporting the group for the night, Los Angeles jazz singer Ciara McGovern will open the evening with swooning jazz ballads and a flirtatious bossa nova charm. Known for her soothing vocal delivery, Ciara is training in Bel Canto style and completing an undergraduate in jazz performance. Offering an endearing personality she will begin the evening with classic jazz standards, bossa nova pieces and a handful of blues numbers.

‘Seán Finn and the Late Bloomers’ are an alternative indie band mixing elements of folk, jazz and yacht rock. Helmed by frontman Seán Finn, the group offer live performances characterised by quirky stage antics and vibrant soundscapes. As the crooning frontman, Seán is known for his heartfelt performances and novel songwriting. Showcasing music from their forthcoming project, ‘Late Bloomer’ this is one group not to be missed on the London scene.
Ciara McGovern:
Ciara is a jazz singer from Los Angeles, California.
She started her music career in New York City studying Musical theatre, and there fell in love with Jazz. Ciara is a classic Jazz lover, and gravitates towards bossa nova as her south American roots demand. Her influences include Samara Joy, Nancy Wilson, and Sarah Vaughn. She’s currently working on recording her first album and looking forward to a California tour in the Fall.
