East London Strippers Collective Life Drawing Class

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec had a famous lifelong love affair with the denizens of the Moulin Rouge. East London Strippers Collective (ELSC) are a collective of strippers committed to smashing stigma, fighting for better working conditions, and repackaging erotic labor to provide meaningful employment to their community.

ELSC presents Life Drawing. This event references the rich history of artists musing upon their nude models, including dancers, striptease artists, lovers, and sex workers, to create works of art. Participants can expect high-octane pole tricks, sultry striptease, floor-work, freestyle, and some surprise audience participation to enrich their life drawing experience. All levels of experience are welcome.

The East London Strippers Collective is a network of feminist, independent women who are also strippers. They are committed to supporting and promoting self-organization among strippers, challenging stigma around sex work, standing up to exploitation, and fighting for improved safety and harm-reduction in the wider sex industry. The life drawing classes have become their flagship event, breaking through stereotypes and bringing the age-honoured relationship between art and sex work up to date.
