It’s your turn to Take The Mic at the Improvised Jazz & Spoken Word night, Groove Verse!
Spoken word artists will take it in turns to grace the stage with the accompaniment of a top jazz pianist, improvising live on the grand piano.
If you’re interested in getting up on line for the main show, this is a great opportunity to show us what you got.
There are TWO TYPES OF TICKETS:
OPEN MIC Ticket (£8): Your name will automatically be entered into to hat. LIMITED AVAILABILITY.
AUDIENCE Ticket (£10): Come watch, and enjoy the show – no stress!
Please note that an OPEN MIC ticket does NOT guarantee a performance slot. Names will be pulled at random from the hat on the night. This ticket simply gets your name in the hat.
Performers will each get max 4 minutes including preamble.
At the end of the open mic, two poets who shine out from the rest, will be asked to perform another piece. These two poets will compete in an audience vote for the chance to join the Groove Verse Main Show line up as a guest poet with the full 4 piece band!
Tickets will be £12 on the door!
