UK debut for formidable tenor saxophonist, Michel Pastre
Over from Paris and presenting an intimate evening of music in celebration of the mighty Lester Young and Teddy Wilson, we’re pleased to welcome Michel Pastre to Toulouse Lautrec. Expect a night of top notch 1940’s saxophone with swinging rhythms and toe tapping beats.
Michel is accompanied by one of London finest pianists – Martin Litton.
Michel has also invited Ali Affleck to feature on a few choice vocal numbers – selected from the canon of the immortal musical romance that Billie holiday shared with Lester Young.
Expect a vibrant and inspired night performed with authenticity and passionate reverence to these three masters of early jazz and blues.
