Welsh-born singer Sharon Lenihan spent seventeen years living in Australia. Thirteen years later, after being whisked away in fairytale fashion from the sandy beaches of Perth, she now calls London her home.
Sharon was destined to be on the stage. Her mother recalls a very sassy four-year-old standing on the garden wall, ‘hairbrush microphone’ in hand, belting out Lena Zavaroni’s ‘Ma He’s Making Eyes at Me!’ to her adoring audience (of neighbourhood children)!
After years as a hairstylist, Sharon decided to seek out another creative outlet. One that would make people feel as good as a new hair cut…and the singing star surfaced once again! After completing a Bachelors degree in Music and Performance at the London Centre of Contemporary Music, Sharon picked up a real microphone this time.
If you like your cabaret shows packed with sassy swing, cheeky innuendos and looks so vintage you’d swear you’d been transported back to the 40s and 50s, check out Instagram to find out where you’ll see Sharon Lenihan performing next.
