The Sunday Funk Fundraiser with Shay Allie & Big Band

Join us for an unforgettable fundraising show with Shay and her incredible band, as they bring you a funk-fueled performance filled with popular jazz and pop classics. This special event supports the remarkable work of Virgin Unite and Focus Humanitarian, allowing you to enjoy amazing music while contributing to these worthy causes.

Shay, a renowned soul/jazz/funk singer-songwriter, has been a prominent figure in the London comedy, jazz, and spoken word scene for over a decade. Alongside her talented and respected musicians from the London Jazz scene, she promises to deliver an extraordinary afternoon of entertainment.

All proceeds from this show will be donated equally both charities. Virgin Unite engages in various projects in developing regions, advocating for environmental protection, climate change mitigation, and community enrichment initiatives. They support local entrepreneurs, invest in education, and address public health and social welfare issues with sustainable solutions, all while adhering to their motto of “having fun, doing good.”

Focus Humanitarian Assistance (FOCUS) is an international crisis response and disaster risk management agency. Their mission is to save lives, alleviate suffering, and build resilience in communities prone to natural or man-made disasters by providing emergency assistance.

Don’t miss Shay’s captivating bossa and flavoured ballads that evoke nostalgic memories of loves lost and sun-kissed beaches. Her poignant lyrics, infused with heartfelt wisdom, resonate deeply with audiences, creating an immersive and engaging experience. As Gavin Brock from Cabaret Scenes aptly describes, Shay’s performances are mesmerising and relatable.
