Featuring compositions by renowned pioneers like Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as other luminaries of the genre such as Jorge Ben Jor and Vinicius de Moraes, the show offers a rich tapestry of musical storytelling that transcends time and place.
From the velvety tones of Corcovado (Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars) and the rhythmic charm of Desafinado to the vibrant energy of Samba hits like Mas Que Nada and Aquarela do Brasill, the repertoire offers a wide range of emotions and melodies to delight every ear. Incorporating authentic Portuguese lyrics into the repertoire captures the essence of Brazilian jazz, creating a vibrant and captivating atmosphere for the audience.
The Andrada Jazz Quintet
Having performed at numerous jazz venues in The Hague and Rotterdam, multilingual singer Andrada Jazz brings her passion for this vibrant jazz style to the London music scene. Alongside her fellow Brazilian jazz musicians she infuses the show with the pulsating rhythms and soulful melodies of Brazilian jazz, captivating audiences with their electrifying performances and transporting them to the sun-kissed shores of Brazil.
Andrada Jazz’s debut album “Bossa Nova Rhythms”, recorded in London last year, features well-known Brazilian jazz tunes, showcasing her distinct contribution to the genre. These songs will be performed at the upcoming show, highlighting Andrada’s soulful vocals and the band’s collective talent.
