Acclaimed tenor saxophonist Mark Lockheart joins forces with the outstanding vocalist Marvin Muoneké, whose rich, classic tone perfectly captures the spirit of Hartman’s iconic sound. About the Artists

Marvin Muoneké
Described by Jazzwise as “a singing superstar in the making”, Marvin Muoneké has earned a reputation as “The Young Man with The Old Soul.” His voice draws comparisons to Nat ‘King’ Cole, Johnny Hartman and Billy Eckstine, combining richness with effortless phrasing. He has performed with Down For The Count, the Vince Dunn Orchestra and NYJO, and is also an accomplished songwriter, arranger and trumpeter.

Mark Lockheart
A central figure in British jazz for over four decades, saxophonist and composer Mark Lockheart first rose to prominence with the groundbreaking big band Loose Tubes. His career has seen collaborations with major artists including Django Bates, Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone and Radiohead. A longtime member of Polar Bear (Mercury Prize nominees), Mark was awarded Jazz FM Instrumentalist of the Year and continues to push creative boundaries with new work, including his 2026 release Shapeshifter.
