Emily Davis, a familiar face at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club, is set to present her latest one-woman musical for a single night after the conclusion of the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This performance marks the second installment in the Blodwen series, centered around an exuberant Welsh woman known for her vibrant approach to life.

Blodwen, often likened to a fusion of Tom Jones and Victoria Wood, embarks on a new journey, this time venturing across the channel to begin a fresh chapter in the city of romance. She’s seen Moulin Rouge, bought a beret and got a job as a nanny. In French, ‘window’ is ‘fenetre’, in Welsh it’s ‘ffenest’, so she’s fairly confident the language won’t be an issue. She’s looking for love (aren’t we all!)

A musical comedy from a fearless Welsh woman with a big heart, fabulous voice and a tendency to throw herself in at the deep end…“True beauty in her pairing of song and story” London Theatre1

“Her secret weapon, unquestionably, is her voice” Cabaret Scenes

“Blodwen is as charmante as ever. Delightful, touching, very funny. Formidable!”

“Beautiful moments that really transported me. Lovely!”

“Fabuleuse!”

“Totally charming, cracking voice, disarmingly funny. A great night out. Left with a burning desire to book a train to Paris to have my own Blodwen experience.”
