Having debuted at the EFG London Jazz Festival, Steve Taylor Fusion Phew presents an ensemble led by renowned UK drummer Steve Taylor, drawing inspiration from Jazz, Funk, and Fusion. This talented lineup has collaborated with notable artists such as Omar, Ian Shaw, and Nitin Sawhney.

Tonight’s performance will feature the exceptional singer-songwriter guitarist Rosie Frater-Taylor and the virtuoso Latin-jazz pianist Neil Angilley (Snowboy).

Prepare to experience a tribute to influential musicians like Gil Scott Heron, Al Jarreau, and Zero 7, as well as Taylor and Josie Frater’s own original compositions, including the acclaimed “Sparkling” (featured on Radio 2). Their latest single, ‘Shining Stars’, will be released in the summer of 2023.

This event is a special affair that includes Scottish vocalist Josie Frater, who is also Steve’s writing partner and has been praised for her “luscious sounds” by BBC London. Additionally, the rising star guitarist and songwriter Rosie Frater-Taylor, who happens to be Steve’s daughter, will make a guest appearance.

Rosie’s album ‘Bloom’ was nominated for ‘Album of the Year’ at the Worldwide Awards in 2022 (Worldwide FM), and it was also named Jazz FM’s ‘Album of the Week’. With over 2 million streams, it has garnered praise from music legends such as Jimmy Page, Jamie Cullum, and Giles Peterson.

Look forward to the release of Steve Taylor Fusion Phew’s new single ‘Shining Stars’, featuring Josie Frater and Rosie Frater-Taylor, in the summer of 2023.

In addition to his work in Jazz, Funk-Fusion, and World music, Steve Taylor is known for collaborating with top artists. He has shared the stage and airwaves with the likes of Nitin Sawhney, Mica Paris, Omar, Claire Martin, Ian Shaw, and Jumoke Fashola of BBC Radio London.

Steve is also involved in the ‘Jazz Verse Jukebox’ residency at Ronnie Scott’s and leads the electrifying 16-piece Steve Taylor Big Band Explosion. Recently, his augmented lineup, Big Band Explosion, recorded a captivating live album at the Pizza Express Jazz Club, which will be released later this year.

Joining Steve and Josie Frater, who have been writing partners for a long time, will be some very special guests for this exceptional performance.
