London Gay Big Band

The sensational London Gay Big Band brings a fresh, fabulous vibe to classic jazz. As Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists, this acclaimed LGBTQ+ orchestra delivers an unforgettable, high-energy live experience.

Founded in the summer of 2011, the London Gay Big Band is a sensational  jazz orchestra that brings a fresh and fabulous vibe to the live music scene. Composed predominantly, though not exclusively, of LGBTQ+ musicians and vocalists, the ensemble has quickly become a celebrated fixture both in London and internationally.

The band’s profile skyrocketed in 2014 when they reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent, performing live for a television audience of seven million. Their dynamic sets earned high praise from the judges, with David Walliams calling them “all brilliant performers” and Simon Cowell championing their signature sound.

Since their formation, the group has commanded some of the most prestigious stages in the UK. Their extensive performance history includes appearances at Ronnie Scott’s, the BST Hyde Park Festival, the Southbank Centre, the Roundhouse, the Hackney Empire, and the Charing Cross Theatre. They have also provided the soundtrack to major public celebrations, taking the main stage at Trafalgar Square for Pride in London, BT London Live in Victoria Park for the 2012 Olympics, and the historic Lord Mayor’s Show.

In addition to their dazzling live performances, the orchestra boasts an impressive recording catalog. Their debut album, Brave, was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and features collaborations with some of Britain’s finest jazz and West End vocalists, including Ian Shaw, Clare Teal, Claire Martin, and Emma Hatton. They followed up this success with the release of their second studio album, Freedom.

Toulouse Lautrec is delighted to host this powerhouse ensemble. Delivering a massive sound and vibrant, joyous energy, the London Gay Big Band guarantees an unforgettable evening of top-tier musicianship and spectacular entertainment.  LGBB’s guitarist Barry Holloway is the bandleader of another Toulouse Lautrec favourite, Biscuit Town.
