Bringing the irresistible spirit of the Roaring Twenties vividly to life, Biscuit Town combine a hard-driving acoustic rhythm section, soulful vocals and mesmerising solos, capturing the sound and energy of 1920s and 1930s jazz at its most joyful.
For this special edition, the band are joined by guest vocalist Issey Chivers, a rising Leeds-based jazz singer whose influences range from Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan to Eva Cassidy, Cécile McLorin Salvant and Jazzmeia Horn.
Expect hot jazz, toe-tapping rhythms and the irresistible spirit of the Roaring Twenties brought vividly to life.

Inspired by the vibrant spirit of New Orleans and the vintage dancehall atmosphere of early jazz, the band blend hot swing, soulful solos and a hard-driving acoustic rhythm section into an irresistible live show.
A regular favourite at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club, Biscuit Town have become known for filling the room with the joyous sound of vintage jazz, transporting audiences from South London to the lively clubs of New Orleans and the cafés of Paris. Their performances are full of dynamic energy, exceptional musicianship and a deep love of the music, making them a standout act for swing dancers and jazz lovers alike.
Led by Barry Holloway, a respected figure on the UK and European swing dance scene, Biscuit Town feature some of London’s finest young jazz musicians alongside a rotating cast of guest vocalists. Their sound captures both the raw excitement of New Orleans swing and the charm of classic European jazz traditions, bringing the music of the 1920s and 1930s vividly to life.
About Issey Chivers
Issey is a Leeds-based vocalist who has been performing in a professional capacity for seven years. She studied jazz vocals at Leeds Conservatoire and since graduating last year, has been working in a range of jazz groups, as well as leading her own project: ‘Issey Chivers Quartet’.
Issey’s influences range from jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan to Eva Cassidy and modern artists such as Cécile McLorin Salvant and Jazzmeia Horn.
