Chad LB is an internationally acclaimed tenor saxophonist known for his explosive improvisation, global touring career and sold-out performances at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club during the EFG London Jazz Festival 2025.
Chad LB is one of the most exciting and internationally recognised tenor saxophonists of his generation, celebrated for his expressive tone, virtuosic technique and electrifying live performances. Hailed as a “Sax Phenom” by the New York Daily News, Chad has built a global reputation through his powerful blend of modern jazz language, deep swing tradition and contemporary musical influences.
Chad made a major impact at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club during the EFG London Jazz Festival 2025, where he performed four completely sold-out shows, captivating audiences with his dynamic improvisation, commanding stage presence and world-class musicianship.
A featured artist on two GRAMMY-winning albums, Chad has toured across six continents and performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues and events, including Carnegie Hall, Super Bowl and Madison Square Garden. Alongside his own headline performances at international jazz clubs and festivals, he has appeared as a soloist with artists including Chris Botti, Arturo Sandoval and Christian McBride.
Beyond the jazz world, Chad has also appeared on television and major productions alongside artists such as Taylor Swift and Don Henley, as well as in the Hollywood film Here Today starring Billy Crystal and Tiffany Haddish.
Originally from Elmira, New York, Chad was recognised as a jazz prodigy from a young age and later studied at the prestigious Brubeck Institute, founded by jazz legend Dave Brubeck. During his studies, he performed regularly with Brubeck and received an extraordinary 15 DownBeat Student Music Awards, including honours for Best Jazz Soloist and Best Original Song.
As a recording artist and composer, Chad continues to push contemporary jazz forward through acclaimed releases including Imagery Manifesto, Onward and Live at The Bridge, the latter featuring legendary trumpeter Randy Brecker.
Alongside his performance career, Chad is also a passionate educator and innovator in online jazz learning. Through platforms such as Jazz Lesson Videos and the Global Jazz Workshop, he has inspired a worldwide audience of more than 350,000 followers, helping shape the next generation of jazz musicians around the globe.
